IXON featured on Tokyo radio station J-Wave
Diamond Head ETHICAL WAVE, an ecocentric program on Tokyo radio station J-Wave FM 81.3, did an 8-minute segment on IXON Food Technology on Saturday, 17th October 2020. Program co-hosts Mao Sakaguchi and Ellie Toyota discussed why advanced sous-vide aseptic packaging (ASAP) is a technology for the future.
“In Japan, the amount of food that is wasted exceeds 6.12 million tons per year,” says Sakaguchi. “One of the causes in food loss is expiry date. This new technology seems to be a solution to the problem.”
Sakaguchi also explained that in Japan where there are many disasters, the product is perfect for use as emergency food. “There is no preservatives and it can be stored for a long time. Above all, it is delicious, environmentally friendly, and can be stored for 2 years. It is amazing!” further adds Sakaguchi.
We have uploaded a recorded segment of the program to our Youtube channel. In addition, we have provided Japanese, Chinese and English captions. You can access the recorded segment here.
